Im gonna make another one of my seldom- occurring blogs… so here goes. Everything on this blog seems to be on delayed terms.. lol. So, to sum up the last week… started with Camille’s party on the 9th Which basically involved, fire swallowing, high drinking, pool in the dark… a highly enjoyable night.
The Swannies game the following day was alright, yet the usually- high emotion, adrenaline pumping atmosphere was lost in the torrential conditions. The quality of football reflected this, and only when the swans came back to within 2 points of victory with seconds left, did the excitement build… until the inevitable siren which left the swans reeling.
The state of origin game on Wednesday was as satisfying as any swans victory on home turf. When it comes to sport… and sporting teams, teamwork is the key and good communication leads to victory. Working as a team and keeping intensity up for the full duration of a game is the raw expectation and excitement of professional sport. Playing poorly is not what fans come to see… and often its not the result that is the biggest factor, but the way the match was played. Losing when playing very well only means the opponent was brilliant and deserved the win. That is the pure reason to why I watch sport… the competitiveness, sportsmanship, gamesmanship and admiration of the impeccable skill level.
Life as usual is consumed by employment at coles… and the dramas and events that happen with that; university, though it is the exams that are in focus at the moment. So, life is pretty alright at the moment things are generally going good for me and I don’t think I could ask for much different.
Take care all
Till next time,
Robbie
