Coota Beach Weekend

Im back from Cootamundra after spending the weekend there for a beach volleyball competition/ carnival. Its a yearly thing thats been happening since 2001 and every year more people come along from syd canberra and ofcourse the local area. This year 46 teams entered and i think most of them were there for fun rather than competition.

Cootamundra is a small country town about 400km south west of sydney with a population of about 7000. The town center is pretty much one long strip of road with the neccessities. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip and though results were a mixed bag, im sure everyone had heaps of fun; especially the owner of that moisturiser which, still to this day, i dont think has been claimed!! Im sure some people would have woken up to more smoother skin than they had expected- not a totally bad thing though, right?!!

Some of the results were:
- 'TNT' made A reserve but got knocked out first round of the eliminations by 2points, ouch
- 'Dynamite' Made C grade but got knocked out also first round
- Our mixed triathlon (in which 3 paticipants took part in each leg) won that division and came 2nd overall, well done!
- 'Ezz' Erin came 4th in the womens, she did it all herself! Nice work!
- Margs came 6th, ezz 3rd overall in the womens beach sprints
- I came 3rd, stu came 4th in the mens beach sprints
